Creamy and Dreamy Spinach

If it made sense I’d put cream in everything. I love my food creamy and dreamy. Creamy mushroom spinach is one of my favourites. It goes well with just about everything. When I learnt to cook this spinach I had vowed to myself that I was done cooking spinach the way my grandmother did. Her spinach was quiet simple; till I learnt that cream can take a meal to a whole new level. Impress your guests next time you host lunch with this simple dish.


Ingredients:

•spinach

•mushroom slices

•onion

•garlic

•salt

•black pepper

•oil

• full cream or heavy cream

• parmesan (optional)


Method:

1. Remove the stems from the spinach. Rinse and chop the spinach.

2. Chop onions and fry with garlic till caramalised

3. Add mushrooms while the onions is halfway cooked.

4. Put in your chopped spinach and lower the heat. Leave lid on till it starts to steam up.

5. season with salt and pepper

6. Keep stiring and remove lid once it becomes too steamy.

7. Let the spinach fry.

8. Once it’s done, pour the full cream or heavy cream and parmesan(optional)
